Dr Rizio is an amazing doctor. My dad had shoulder surgery about 15 years ago and everything went well. Recently my dad had another shoulder injury in the other side and we were lucky enough to find Dr. Rizio, who by the way remembered my dad. Once again an amazing job and recovering well. We are forever thankful for Dr Rizio.
Dr. Rizio recently operated on my shoulder which, as it turned out, was badly damaged. Immediately after, as soon as I had recovered from the anesthesia, he gave me an informative brief regarding the procedure. On the second day post-op, once the induced numbness had worn off, I found that the pain from the surgery was entirely manageable, and I was largely pain-free by the following day. A day or so later, I had no swelling at all on the site of operation! And there was no need at all to take the prescribed pain medication, a very huge plus. This was all in very pleasant contrast indeed to what one frequently hears about such surgeries. Ten days after the operation, I have every expectation of making an excellent recovery. My son sustained a labrum tear while away at University out of state and waited 1.5 years before he could fit surgery into his schedule. Dr Rizio was our surgeon of choice as he came highly recommended. From the very first visit, I knew we had made the right choice. He is very professional and courteous besides having excellent surgical skills. He repaired the labral tear and upon further inspection, found another tear in the posterior labrum, which he then repaired, that wasn’t picked up on the MRI. I’m so happy we chose Dr Rizio for multiple reasons. He was able to accommodate the surgery date and location due to our insurance plan and my son’s hectic schedule. Dr Rizio followed my son through the course of post op physical therapy. I highly recommend Dr Rizio!
Dr. Rizio is on time and on point with diagnosis, surgical skills and rehab. Reconstructed my ACL and everything is great. Back to everything I like to do and I’m active.
Amazing Experience !
Any surgery is scary but Dr. Rizio explained the procedure and what I could expect afterwards. I felt at ease going into a procedure that I knew would be difficult. I have never felt rushed or not listened to. His staff is always professional and I have gladly recommended him to people looking for a good orthopedic doctor/surgeon!
